What was done:
- Design Thinking session with stakeholders
- Preparation for the research:
- users qualification criteria
- script development
- users search and qualification
- 6 interviews: 3 males, 3 females.
User qualification criteria
- Snore at night
- How often do you snore?
- Constantly, every night
- Occasionally, every other night
- How severe do you feel your snoring is on a scale of 1 to 10?
- 6+
Findings (top level):
- users expect to see immediate results from snore curing solutions
- “I stoped using it because I haven’t see the result in 2-3 nights”
- IMPORTANT: all users who tried various mouth-piece devices stoped using them immediately due to significant discomfort
- most of the users don’t feel like snoring affects their sleep and night recovery much
- most of the users consult their doctor regarding snoring issues, but leaving without any particular useful and working recommendations
- key stimulus for curing snoring - complaints of their sleeping partner
- users don’t do much regarding their snoring for the first 5-7 years. This is probably due to the fact the it takes time for their partner to “accumulate” certain level of discomfort
- the top of the mind reason for snoring - excess weight, and users a ready to put a lot of long term efforts (contrary to various anti-snores cures)
- top of mind snoring cure - CPAPs. But they see it as a last possible solution
- users are ready for a different experiments below $100, however they are OK with CPAP related monthly costs (up to $720 annually - which can be a benchmark price point for device and annual subscription)
